Get ready to dust off your brooms—”Can’t wait until I’m witch and famous” is the vibe in downtown Foley, Alabama, as the seventh annual Foley Witches Ride returns on Saturday, October 24.
The popular charity event kicks off at 5:00 PM, bringing together over 200 female riders aged 21 and older for a spirited ride through the streets.
Organized by the Society of Black Hats, this nonprofit event is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the local community. The organization’s mission focuses on helping women and children by raising vital funds for programs that keep families together throughout South Baldwin County. Proceeds from the ride benefit numerous local organizations and causes, including Family Promise, Lighthouse of Baldwin County, Foley Scouts Troop, Turkey Take Out, Grand Witch Charity of Choice, and local public schools including Foley High, Foley Middle, Foley Elementary, Magnolia Elementary, and Florence B. Mathis Elementary.
Tickets are on sale for $50 for bicycle entries and $75 for golf carts, with each pass including entry into the ride, an official T-shirt, and admission to the after-party.
And as for the festivities? You know what they say — payback’s a witch. BYOB has a whole new meaning on October 24th, so grab your broom and head over to the post-ride celebration at Heritage Park, which runs until 10:00 PM. Non-riders and men are welcome to join the evening’s fun for a $20 donation, featuring live music and local food trucks, rain or shine.
Tickets for the after-party are available through the group’s Eventbrite page. For additional details, email foleywitchesride@gmail.com or check out the Facebook page.
