Governor Kay Ivey has officially lifted the mandatory evacuation order effective immediately, and the Baldwin County Commission has lifted the Local State of Emergency declaration, effective at 2:00 p.m. today. These actions reflect improving conditions across the county and progress in post-storm operations. The Baldwin County Shelter at the Coliseum in Robertsdale is now closed as all occupants have now vacated the building.
Safety Reminder
Residents are urged to avoid downed power lines, blocked roads, fallen trees, and standing water. When traffic signals are without power, all drivers must treat the intersection as a four-way stop.
Utility crews are working to restore service throughout the county. Please contact your specific provider with outage questions or concerns. Power has been restored to more than 150,000 customers across the county, with restoration efforts ongoing. This number will continue to improve as power crews work tirelessly to restore service. Please be patient and contact your specific provider if you need to report an outage or have questions.
Residents are encouraged to check with local retailers for the availability of commodities, including food, water, ice, and essential household supplies. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the many communities outside Baldwin County
who experienced greater damage from Hurricane Isaias.
With the mandatory evacuation lifted and the Local State of Emergency ended, this will serve as our final operational press release for this event. Baldwin County EMA will continue to share updates as needed through our website and official channels.
